COVID-19, a term we will never forget. The world has changed, seemingly for the worse. With so many sick, with so many restrictions there were subsequently many in need. Children were home with parents unable to receive education in Iquitos. During this time BTG as well as other local Non-Profits took a good look at what was happening in Iquitos, and decided to help in a different way.
Thousands were without food, and starving. It seemed worse than the effects of virus. President Violeta and local volunteers and board members found family after family in need. In a fast and furious effort we asked for funds to help, you provided within the day. We were able to feed 100 families immediately and hundreds since.
Violeta even made her way to a remote village in the Amazon (Above Image).
Thank you for your generosity in turbulent times. When many hunkered down and or hoarded supplies here, you took the time to give. For these families it meant simply having something to eat. Just as important is the hope you helped to bring.
