ABOUT

Giving hope to babies and their moms through education, support and love!

Bridge the Gap Inc is a 501 C3 Organization Registered in the State of Idaho, an official ONG in Peru and under the umbrella of an NGO in Africa.

HISTORY

Bridge the Gap was founded by American’s Chuck and Shirly Bobst 10 years ago here in Iquitos Peru. In that time we have supported children (ages 1-18) with education as well as critical care for their families, homes and business endeavors. We have partnered with the Jersusalen school. We provide clean water, meals, and after school programming. At one point we also were able to help mothers with prenatal care. We are an integral part of the community and seek to strengthen our connections to provide a greater impact in Iquitos.

PRESENT

BTG moves families out of poverty with humanitarian aid and education.

Our mission is to Bridge the Gap of poverty and poor health, by supporting families with critical aid and education. In this process we seek strong partnerships with organizations, and individuals in this endeavor.

We have transitioned during the COVID Pandemic with the closing of a school we supported.  We will focus those same amount of funds toward supporting the wellness needs of babies, their teen moms, family enrichment, education, sanitation and business building.

Growing our 'Giving Babies Hope' program through continual support of their moms and families is our primary goal.

With an emphasis on local directors and volunteers, help will continue regardless of BTG-US ability to travel.

Helping mothers and their babies with local support, education and nurture.

We have moved to a family support model with skills training and educational support.

We continue to feed BTG supported families as well as others in the community.
